ELEMENTARY PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Classes typically begin with drills and conclude with games. The Presidential Fitness Testing is administered in the spring of each year. Classes spend time learning the fundamentals and practicing the following sports:
- Floor Hockey
- Basketball
- Soccer
- Volleyball
- Softball
- Flag/Touch Football
ELEMENTARY ART
In Elementary Art, students are introduced to basic art techniques, which are the building blocks that will provide a solid foundation for future art lovers and artists. Drawing is primary focus in Elementary Art and the students are instructed on several different media, including chalk, colored pencils, and oils. Kindergarten students master geographical shapes and older students learn the hieroglyphic alphabet. Students explore the work of Monet and Van Gogh.
Victory Christian Academy students participate in Picture the Music, a contest by the St. louis Symphony Orchestra, which “invites students in grades K-6 to discover an orchestral work and respond with paintings or drawings that express creative thought and emotion.”
ELEMENTARY MUSIC
In Elementary Music, students learn too sing, play instruments and read music. They participate in a Christmas production and other various performance opportunities throughout the year.
